It was on Aprile, 2010, and the magazine I Grandi Vini published following article:
In the fertile land of Greco di Tufo DOCG, surrounded by luxurious wineyards and vinification cellar, rises the only distillery of the provinces of Avellino and Benevento. This adventure started in 1998, and the first bottle arrived in 2004. Mario Carpenito's distillery produces - toghether with his son Paolo - only mono-varieties grappa made od Aglianico, Falanghina, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, of course. They have chosen a craftmanslike discontinous steam method, favouring quality instead of quantity.
In this way their excellent grappa exhales typical and intense parfumes, due to the freshness of the marc, collected immediately after the pressing. it's a perfect example of family distillery and its products give great satisfactionto the owners. The Carpenito family has always trysted in territoriality and in the marc they process, creating a winning product, with excellent organoleptic qualities, that has gained important acknowledgement.
